WATER DEPARTMENT--The Village of Archbold is accepting applicants for a 1^st Shift Water Plant Operator and Distribution Technician.  Employees will work under the general direction of the Operations Supervisor and/or Chief Water Plant Operator. Employees will assist with the operation of a Class IV Water Treatment Facility and Class I Distribution system.

Minimum qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED. Prefer one (1) or more years of related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and must remain insurable under the Village’s vehicle insurance plan. First Shift Employee must possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL within 6-months of hire.

Water Department Employees are required to obtain within 5-years of employment a Class III Water Operator’s License from the OEPA; and will be required to obtain within 1-year of employment an Operational Wet Chemistry Certificate.

Experience in the operation of a water treatment plant or water distribution system desirable, but not required.
